Delicious Bookmarks for September 1st through September 7th

These are my links for September 1st through September 7th:

  • Animating a Blockbuster: How Pixar Built Toy Story 3 | Magazine | Wired.com – Fantastic bit of insight into what goes into creating a modern animated film over 1084 days. Particularly impressive is the account of the many stages of creating a single frame, the article has it at 5 stages (each requiring immense work) but I imagine it’s often more detailed. The sketches to finale show a lot of growth.
  • Learning Objective-C: A Primer – I’ve always done a really bad job of explaining Objective-C syntax, mostly because it’s ~4 years since I actually wrote any and I was fairly clueless then. This is a nice, short and clear primer – recommended if you want to understand that weird syntax.
Declared properties are new, since I last wrote Objective-C. They are *really* nice!
  • A Language for describing D-Bus interfaces – doffm’s posterous – “dbuf is a language that describes dbus messages and interfaces.”
